Uncle Ernest was the oldest of the children. His younger brothers and sisters were quite fond of M'Brudda. His children state that their "Pappi", a carpenter, was good to the day he retired in 1975. He worked in several places - both private and government...the last being the Department of Health in St. Thomas. He was quiet and expressed seriousness on any matters pertaining to his immediate family. "Chewin" was close to his church - Market Square Methodist. He sang in the choir and was a class leader. When he died, he had lived the longest (92 years) thus far in the family.
