Joseph

Uncle Joseph is perhaps the most reserved of the aunts and uncles, though certainly not at all distant, in comparison to the others. Over the years, as many of the first grandchildren have become interested in earlier generations, it is never long before we find out how much Uncle Joseph represents a virtual encyclopedia of the family's history. He has a vivid memory of the older people and places; and is always willing to respond to our questions with details of events and persons we may have barely heard of. He has also kept up a family picture album that is as current as anyone could hope for in a family the size of ours.
