We have made many trips to Anguilla with our children over the past 11 years and adore the island. My oldest daughter introduced us to OT and her family on that first. We have been wonderful friends since then spending every Christmas-New Years together. Lots of special memories and time spent getting to know the Anguillians. We leave in a little more than 3 weeks for a 4 week trip this time. We read the forum almost daily yet rarely comment. Love your trip report. HFGMOM@attbi.com.

Loved reading your story! It made me wish I were back in Anguilla! I painted the tables at Straw Hat. hcmalott@yahoo.com

Enjoyed your trip web site...we leave January 11 for two weeks...our 6th visit. We have never done the sunset sail but plan to this year. Thanks so much for your site. lablew@netins.net

What an impressive trip report. I really enjoyed it, and found it very interesting to read about Coopers Hole and the blow holes. Perhaps I can persuade my family to do some more exploring this time, after all these visits to Anguilla and there are still so many places unseen. 2 weeks and 1 hr until take-off, and really looking forward to seeing our friends again. (Harriet, Champagne as ususal by the pool?) O.T.

Your site is fabulous! We were in Anguilla from Oct.26th-Nov.3rd-definitely too short a stay! We are going back sometime next year, staying at CuisinArt, probably May 2003. We hit some of the same spots, but you seemed to have found quite a few places we have yet to explore. Our favorite dinner spots were Hibernia, Tasty's, Santorini(CuisinArt), Straw Hat. We had discovered Anguilla several years ago while vacationing in St. Martin-liked it so much we came over twice to go to the beach at Shoal Bay East. Junior Fleming had taken us out back then in his glass bottom boat, saw giant sea turtles. this time we snorkelled with him, saw beautiful fish, lots of brain coral, but no sea turtles. Little Bay was tiny!!!, plus there were too many bees to hang out there- so we stayed on the boat and were given a tour of Crocus Bay- saw lots of pelicans & these other birds-booby birds?- had blue beaks, I think. We had a jeep and tried to explore a bit, but we never saw many of the places you found. We will be inspired to locate them next trip! Thanks for the info- Happy Thanksgiving from New Jersey!

I am very impressed! And it shows that after all these years we have been visitng Anguilla, we have more places to find and more things to do. O.T.

Wow! Your detailed travel journal is great!! I almost feel like I was there with you. Thanks for all your info & reviews, especially of restaurants & prices. Sounds like your trips were beautiful & you made the most of them!! I am currently researching for my honeymoon at the end of next June & have been considering Anguilla or St. John. I fell in love with both the 18 degrees north and the Frangipani properties from their websites - that is awesome that you stayed at the villa and had that gorgeous pool and patio!!! Thanks again for sharing your vacation - I got the link from the caribbean online msg board. Happy travels!

I loved reading your trip report and seeing your photos! We have been to Anguilla twice, in June 1997 and June 2001. We went snorkeling with Rawlins, on Chocolat, and it's good to hear he's well. So many of the people there are so nice. We hope to go back someday. We're from Kansas.

I really enjoyed your sight. My husband and I were in Anguilla in Nov of 2002. We did a lot of the same things you did. We love the people and the beauty of the island. We are more beach type people, and love to roam the different beaches. My husband also thought that the Malliomma Hotel? was the best resort of all the ones you saw. We also got eaten up by sand fleas!! Thanks again for for your great article.

Belinda & Mike, Now that we're back from our 3 weeks on island, I finally read your report slowly and double-clicked all the pictures. Let me complement you on your writing style - it's terrific and it was easy for me to pretend I was 'home'. You did lots of fun things and ate at all of our favorite restaurants. Thank you so much for the nice words about 18 Degrees North - we'd be pleased to have you as guests again in the future. All the best to you this holiday season!

Sharon Lesley

Thank you for sharing your story!!

This is your Mom

Looks like you had a ball. Did every meal cost you either $25 or $100? Sounds like an expensive cheesburger. But if you had a great time, it is worth it. Love ya

STEVE & VICKIE

What a great trip report. It brought back good memories of our trip. No picture of Mimi's Bay??? I guess we'll just have to go back if I ever want to see it. See you soon.

Michele Sukovaty-West

Belinda, you have created a wonderful, informative album. It looks so beautiful and confirms that we must visit someday. And there is "no place like home" - neighbors like you and Mike make it that way!

Just read your Bonaire and Anguilla reports. Go back to Bonaire!! I have been going there every other year for 2 weeks since 1988 as a diver and that's still not enough time. Great blow by blow description of your trips and great pictures. Best of luck in your future trips. Kim Rusin New Jersey
