Lesson 11: 2 fold card template

NOTE - Template will be used for the second part of this lesson.........

Prepare a template to be used for a card that will be constructed by folding twice as illustrated below.

1. Open a new word processing (WP) document:
a) From the Window menu, select Show Tools
b) From the Window menu select Show Rulers

2. Save as "Lesson 11 - 2 fold Template" on your floppy disk

3. Change the margins to .5 top, bottom, left, right

4. Divide your document into 4 parts
a). From the Options menu, select Show Graphics Grid
b). Access the drawing tool and then select the line draw tool.
c). Using the grid, divide your document into the four parts that are needed.

5. Include the instructional text as illustrated so that this template is easy to use by a novice.

6. Save.

Complete a card using the template from Lesson 11 - 2 fold template. The theme can be any event such as invitation, advertising, birthday, or valentine.

** E-MAIL YOUR "2 FOLD CARD" DOCUMENT FOR GRADING

Once you feel confident that you have completed this lesson, e-mail your document as an attachment to your instructor at the following address:

aujla_m@sd36.bc.ca

Your document should include the appropriate file extension in order for the formating to remain in transmission.

For sending documents from Apppleworks, use the extension ".cwk". A correct file name and extension would look similar to:

L11foldcard.cwk

Notice that any spaces in the file name have been removed and an indicator of which lesson (L11) has been added.

The assigned value for this assignment will be returned once it has been graded.
