Lesson 9: WP Advertisement

* Students are to create a one page flyer for a company, store, or private garage sale that is selling computer related products

* Demonstrate your knowledge of computer related technology by listing at least 6 computer products, quantities for sale, and prices in 3 columns.

1. Open a new Drawing (DR) document and format the document margins to be .25 inch.

2. Save as "Lesson 9 - Advertisement"

3. Create a list of items for sale and their prices. Marks for clean appearance, alignment, and use of currency.

4. Use the Show Tools icon menu.

a) From the Windows menu, select the Show Tools option
b) To create text boxes, hold the Option key down while you click on the Text marker in the Tools icon menu.
c) Continue to hold the Option key down while you use the mouse button and drag onto the Draw page where you want a Text box to appear.
d) Text can be entered in the normal manner.

5. Add customized character borders and relevant graphics to make the page a presentable flyer advertisement. Use tilted text at least once.

(try to also draw a map and/or give directions to get to the sale)

6. Proofread and edit spacing, grammar and spelling errors.

7. Save Lesson 9 - Advertisement

8. ** E-MAIL YOUR "ADVERTISEMENT" DOCUMENT FOR GRADING

Once you feel confident that you have completed this lesson, e-mail your document as an attachment to your instructor at the following address:

Your document should include the appropriate file extension in order for the formating to remain in transmission.

For sending documents from Apppleworks, use the extension ".cwk". A correct file name and extension would look similar to:

L9advertisement.cwk

Notice that any spaces in the file name have been removed and an indicator of which lesson (L9) has been added.

The assigned value for this assignment will be returned once it has been graded.
