Lesson 7: Lateness / Plagairism

Review the lateness and plagiarism policy described in the 2 paragraphs that are at the end of this page.

Students are to produce a summary paragraph and a response paragraph for both policies in a requested format.

1. Open a new word processing document:

a) Point at the File command in the menu bar and hold the mouse button down.
b) With the the mouse button down, select New.
c) Select Word Processing and then OK.

2. Save as "Lesson 7 - Lateness" in your student diectory:

a) Point at the File command in the menu bar and hold the mouse button down.
b) With the the mouse button down, select Save As.
c) From the menu box select Desktop.
d) Scroll down until your student number appears. Highlight and select Open.
e) Type "Lesson 7 - Lateness" into the highlighted area beside the Name box.
f) Press OK.

3. Discuss the Lateness & Plagiarism policies with other students and prepare a summary paragraph for both the lateness & plagiarism policy.

4. Write response paragraphs for both the Lateness & Plagiarism policies.

5. Do a spell check using spelling command from the document menu:

a) From the Edit menu select Writing Tools
b) Select Check Document Spelling.

6. Make all appropriate style changes ( bold, underlines etc.)

7. Save your document. As you have already saved your document, the Save function will automatically save your document to your disk with all of the changes you have made.

a) From the Edit menu, select Save

8. ** E-MAIL YOUR "LATENESS AND PLAGIARISM" DOCUMENT FOR GRADING

Once you feel confident that you have completed this lesson, e-mail your document as an attachment to your instructor at the following address:

aujla_m@fsd36.bc.ca

Your document should include the appropriate file extension in order for the formating to remain in transmission.

For sending documents from Apppleworks, use the extension ".cwk". A correct file name and extension would look similar to:

L7lateness.cwk

Notice that any spaces in the file name have been removed and an indicator of which lesson (L7) has been added.

The assigned value for this assignment will be returned once it has been graded.
