Get Involved! Chapter Committees Forming

The National Capital Area Chapter has opportunities for you to share your knowledge and expertise by serving on one or more of our Chapter operating committees. Participation in Chapter Committees is a great way to meet people, learn more about APA and the Chapter, and increase your professional skills. The Committee structure languished a bit while the Chapter devoted most of its energy to the 2004 National Conference. Let's get it going again - and make you a part of the future!

There are opportunities for ongoing participation, or for short- term commitments. Chapter members are free to join more than one committee since some only meet occasionally, others for specific tasks only, and some will meet most often through virtual communications. The following describes the roles and responsibilities of each. Find your favorites and contact the designated Chair today.

The Board encourages all members to get involved. Each Committee seeks those interested in helping to guide and develop the programs discussed below. Be a part of working to improve the quality and frequency of sponsored events and to raise the stature of the Chapter and the profession within the region. We look forward to your participation.
