BALLYMAHON MARKET HOUSE

Ballymahon Market House is a three-bay two-storey building with the central bay breaking forward. The pediment bears a coat of arms featuring an eagle with a griffin in the crest.

GRANARD MOTTE

Map Reference: N329808

This tall motte is said to be the largest in Ireland. It has an extensive bailey and most of it is surrounded by a deep ditch and bank.
