CREEVYKEEL COURT TOMB

Map Reference: G719645

Creeevykeel Court Tomb is set within a large trapezoidal cairn. The large oval court is entered through a short passage at the eastern end of the cairn. A two-chambered gallery opens onto the western end of the court and there are remains of three single-chambered subsidiary tombs in the western end of the cairn. In the NW part of the court are the remains of a much later kiln where iron-smelting was carried out in Early Christian times.
