Salads

Here are the recipes I have on this page.
1: Cottage Cheese Salad, 2: Shrimp Salad, 3: Fruit Salad
4: Glorifed Rice, 5: Shell Salad
Bean Salad


Cottage Cheese Salad


1/2 lb. cottage cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup bunch radishes
2 tsp. salt
1/2 medium cucumber
1/2 sweet green pepper
Slice radishes, cut cucumber in
dice and chop pepper fine. MIx
vegetable, add salt and cream into
cheese and combine vegetables and
cheese.



Shrimp Salad


1 cup shrimp
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups chopped hard boiled eggs
1 tbsp. chopped onion
1 cup chopped stuffed olives
1 tbsp. chopped green pepper
4 tbsp. dressing
1 cup whipping cream
Mix and serve on lettuce, sprinkle
with chopped nuts



Fruit Salad



2 cups sour cream
1 no. 2 can crushed pineapple
1 _ 11 oz. can mandarin oranges
(drained)
1 1/3 cups flake coconut
3 cups miniature marshmallows
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/3 cups white grapes-fresh
Mix all together and refrigerate.




Glorifed Rice



2 pkgs. of orange Jello2 cups of whipping cream
2 cans of mandarin oranges
1 can of crushed pineapple

Cook rice. After rice is cooked, add about 1/2cup
sugar and a can of crushed pineapple and let cool.
Make Jello. When Jello is about set whip the
cream and add your rice and cream to the Jello mix-
ture. Stir and then add the mandarin oranges.
Makes a very large serving.



Shell Salad



1 box shell macaroni(cooked and drained)
1 small can peas(drained)
1/2 cup celery(cut in small pieces)
2 tbsp. onion(cut in small pieces)
2 tdsp. green pepper(cut in small pieces)
2 tomatoes(cut in small chunks)
2 hard doiled eggs(chopped)

Add dressing of:

1/4 cup salad dressing
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
pinch of pepper
2 dashes of tadasco sauce

If desired, and chicken, tuna,ham.or cold cuts(chop).
Sprinkle top with paprika before serving.
Serves 8_10




Bean Salad



Drain each can well
1 can of different kinds of beans
Green Beans
Yellw Beans
Kidney Beans
Red Beans
Slice Onion(what ever amount you like.)
Celery
Mix together, by stirring alot.
1 Cup Sugar
1 cup Vinegar
1/2 cup Cooking Oil
When dissoloved pour over your veg.
