Here are the recipes I have for this page. 1:Chili, 2:Dumplins 3:Ham'n Chicken Chowder
Chili
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 small jalapeno chili, minced
1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes, undrained
1 can (15 oz.) Mexican-style stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 can (15 oz.) Kidney beans, drained, rinsed
1 can (15 oz.) Navy beans, drained rinsed
1/2 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilis
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Condiments:
Shredded Cheddar cheese, chopped onion
Cooking Instructions:
1. Cook ground beef in large saucepan over medium heat until browned, crumbling with a fork; drain excess fat. Add onion, celery, bell pepper, and jalapeno chili; cook until tender, 3 to 4 minutes.
2.Stir in remaining ingredients, except salt and pepper and condiments; heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 20 to 30 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
3. Spoon soup into bowls; sprinkle with condiments.
Chili
1 lb. hamburger 1 can kidney beans onion salt 1 small can tomatoes 1 small can tomato paste pepper chile pepper
Brown meat and onion then add rest of ingredients. Let simmer 45 to 50 minutes. If you want it more juicy add tomato juice.
Dumplings
Beat: 1 egg Add:3 tbsp. milk 3/4 cup flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder Dash of salt
Mix until all flour is moistened. Using two tea- spoons, drop into warm soup. Cook 15 minutes
Ham'n Chicken Chowder
1/2 cup cooked ham (cut in strips) 1 tbsp. butter 1 (10 1/2oz.) can cream of chicken soup 1 soup can water 1/2 cup mixed vegetables (cooked) Cook ham in butter until lightly broened. Add remaining ingredients. Heat ,and stir often till done.
