Today we had chemo and an occupational therapy session. Michael is feeling great and is full of energy. We had no problems with his chemo or bloodwork today. The relaxation therapy has really paid off. Next week we have a lumbar puncture and then after that we are going to go to our doctors here locally again and go to Cheo for procedures once a month. We are as you say, back in our comfort zone again which is great. Michael is still back at school and he just loves being able to play with his friends. He did go over on his ankle the other day and it bothers him here and there but that will heal soon. He is also going to see a foot specialist because his ankles seem to be quite weak since starting chemo. That is in 2 weeks. Other than that there really isn't anything health wise to report except that we are practically leading a normal life and it is great!!!! Here's to continued good health!!!!!!!

Well last week Michael had a lumbar puncture and all went well. He weights 20.5kg now.. finally going over that 20kg mark!! The day was long but uneventful as Michael is not stressed out over lp's as he is asleep.
But today we started back to our family doctor and we also had bloodwork done at a local clinic that gets their results back in 2hrs. Michael had a finger poke, he needed to be held for comfort but not held down. Eventually he will sit by himself. Then we did some shopping and I told Michael that if he was brave and controlled himself he would be rewarded in being able to go shopping at the local dollar store.. he has had his eye on this dart gun... well we had to wait for almost 2 hours at the dr. office as the fax just didn't seem to get there fast enough.. but he was very patient..actually too patient.. I was waiting for hell to break loose. When the fax came and the blood work was a go... off to visit the DR we went. Michael couldn't wait to get this over with to go shopping. He knows that Dr.Dooley has caused him no pain and as Michael says he is GOOD and FAST!! I had to chat with the dr. and turned to see where Michael was and he was gone.. I was afraid that he had taken off but to our surprise he had gotten up on the table laid down in a fetal position and was beginning his relaxation breathing!!!!!!!! We couldn't believe our eyes... we then came into the room as the dr. prepared his needle and he squealed a bit when he leg was swabbed and cleaned but that was it.... I usually drag a tissue over his face and draw letters and numbers while he guesses what they are... well as far as Michael was concerned I wasn't getting to him fast enough and he grabbed the tissue out of my hand and started tickling his face with it... I then helped him draw numbers and before he knew it .... it was over... he didn't feel a thing once again... WOW!!! We are so proud of him and so is he because he has just made full use of all the relaxation that his therapist has taught him....We hope that this continues as we are now only going to Cheo once per month....
