Well first of all ..............Our team at the Relay for Life was the #1 fundraiser in all of the Upper Ottawa Valley!!!!
We raised a total of $3971.00 for our local Cancer Society.... cool eh?
Well in the past couple of weeks we survived Michael's week on prednisone. He wasn't moody at all but a very pleasant little boy. It was really nice to not have the mood swings.
Today's blood work went great. Dad took him today and then later on I took him
for his chemo. He was awesome. He handles the treatment very well. Now we have to work on the fact that when he is told to sit and wait that he actually does that !
Right now he has a head cold and a mild ear infection. We didn't need to medicate it because he is carrying his own. We wanted to stay away from the antibiotics because that would only lower his counts and we don't want to end up neutropenic again.
Next week is the last week of school and he will be going on to grade 1 next year. All has gone extremely well at school this year which is great especially since he has missed to much. We do a lot of home schooling when his counts are too low for school.
