Status of women in the religion depends on regional factors; a region that has better economy and better education, status of women are improved. Religions are needed to outline the code of conducts according to present and future needs. It is evident in the present western society and the developed countries, freedom of women, irrespective of any religion, is better than that of undeveloped and developing countries, indication is that reformation in religion is helping hand to growth of the country. Old age religions mostly considered women as subordinates, gave lower status and role was behind the curtain place was home and its maintenance. Mostly in all Religions, women were to cover face, as drawn in their code of conduct

God of peace

HINDUISM Hinduism I feel is one of the oldest ancient religion combinations of Dravidian and Aryan civilization. Aryans being invaders and ruled for many generations enforced their codes and conducts that to follow by each. Their terms were harsh for Shudra (low cast) and women.

JUDAISM Judaism a set of ideas about the world and the way people should live is called "Judaism." Judaism has always accepted divorce as a fact of life it assumes that better for a couple to divorce than to remain together in a state of constant bitterness.

Pre-Islamic practice and Quranic age Pre- Islamic practice and Quranic age, common custom was to bury female infants alive as they were not seen same as boy child. Women were also frequently bought and sold in the open market.

Messiah movement (new testaments) brought relief to women.

Messiah movement (new testaments) brought relief to women. Christ disregarded many laws of old testaments and treated women and men equal and of same status.

  • To my view to make religion more effective for community development there is need for advanced education on religion. Influenced religious people selected should be on the basis of the education they have.
  • Advanced education system of religion will certainly help in introducing new pattern of economy to the world which will give society status higher than money. Will improve reducing higher level of poverty that is prevailed in the world.
  • Fundamentalism will be re thought to revise to fit the present world structure.
Temples should have a meaning as social development institutions.

Man plans and then buys, woman buys and then plans

Religion: Women & Religion - TIME - Only 47% of them attend church regularly, although 76% are church members. Of Roman Catholic women, 85% are regular churchgoers. Of Protestant women, 54% actually go to church—a percentage which, even allowing for U. S. Protestant men who do not attend church, is somewhat higher than Statistician Roger Ward Babson's estimate of 30% for Protestant attendance (men & women). U. S. female churchgoing, high in the East and South, drops in the Midwest, sinks to 26% on the Pacific Coast. According to the survey, U. S. women believe in God (91%). Though most do not attend church, 75% believe that children should receive religious training.
