Worcesters skador

Följande uppgifter är
hämtade ur den rapport som kapten Butler på Worcester 30/7 1704 (31/8 sv. stil)
skickade in till amiralitetet i London. Som syns av förteckningen hade fartyget lidit
rätt ordentligt och man hade bara något färre sårade och döda än vad Öland
hade. Av denna rapport och redogörelserna i ett par av de andra engelska fartygens
loggböcker får man intrycket att Ölands eld främst riktats mot
motståndarfartygens rigg. |

Our main mast shot very much above the

Our main yard shott neer the slings.
Our pinnace's spair topmast and gallens shott.
Shottholes through our sides: Twenty four.
Our longboat so much shott that she could not swim but sunk and we were forced to cutt her
away. |

damnified by shott. |

Gun carriages: four shott & made
unserviceable and Gun splitt. |
By the little conversation I
have had with the Swedish Captain and what my Officers has had with his they seem to be
mightily in French interest and as much displeas'd with that of the English...
