Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad
By Def Leppard
Here I am, I'm in the wrong bed again
It's a game I just can't win
There you are breathin'
soft on my skin
Still you won't let me in
Why save your kisses for a rainy day
Babe let the moment take your
heart away
Have you ever needed someone so bad, yeah
Have you ever wanted someone
You just couldn't have
Did
you ever try so hard
That your world just fell apart
Have you ever needed someone so bad
And you're the girl I gotta
have
I gotta have you baby
There you go, midnight promises again
But they're broken by the dawn
You wanna
go further, faster everyday babe
But in the morning you'll be gone
And I'm alone
Why save your kisses for a rainy
day
Babe let the moment take your heart away
Have you ever needed someone so bad, yeah
Have you ever wanted someone
You
just couldn't have
Did you ever try so hard
That your world just fell apart
Have you ever needed someone so bad
And
you're the girl I gotta have
I gotta have you baby
Every dream I dream is like
Some kinda rash 'n' reckless scene
To
give out such crazy love
You must be some kinda drug
And if my time don't ever come
For me you're still the one
Damned
if I don't, damned if I do
I gotta get a fix on you
'Perfect time for this song to come on,' Jade said to herself, as she sped away from the hotel.
She had dated Chuck since he went into WCW. He was a sweetheart of a man, a wonderful lover, and a
romantic. He was the epitome of what every woman wanted; brains, brawn, bod. They had a great relationship; more friends than
lovers. But, something had changed when he went to WWE. Vince had put him in a storyline with some of the guys from WCW, and
some guys from ECW. They were called the Alliance. No problem there. Once that storyline played out, everything went down
hill.
He started tag-teaming with a man named Billy Gunn. After a couple weeks, Chuck had come home. He explained
that the storyline with Billy was going to get a bit risque. "How so, hun?" "Well, he (Vince) wants us to be a little more
than just a tag team. He wants us to be a homosexual tag team."
Jade would have burst out laughing, had she not known how important wrestling was to him. "Are you
sure you want to go through with that? Wouldn't it be defimating your character to play a gay?" "Could be, but look at it
this way; atleast then, nobody would know about us, so no one would come after you." "I would rather you were proud of your
character, than worry about me being chased." "I'll be proud of any character they give me, because I will put my all into
it." "Ok, baby. If you want to go through with it, then do it." She reached up, and kissed him softly on the lips.
She went on the road with him after that, so that she could meet Billy. She had seen him for ages on
the WWF shows. She'd even heard he used to be a bull rider. She thought, atleast he was a manly man. When she met him, though,
she could tell he wasn't as manly as she thought. The way he held her hand when they shook hands, it wasn't as firm as most
guy's had been. Just subtle little things that pointed him out as not heterosexual.
Once Jade and Chuck were alone, she asked him about Billy. "He's bisexual," Chuck had said. "Has he
'hit' on you?" "Once or twice." "Doesn't that annoy you?" "He hasn't done it since I told him about you. Don't worry, hunny.
I don't swing that way."
The problem was, the more he hung out and tagged with Billy and their manager, Rico, the more he acted
like him, and the less he spent time with Jade. He was always with Billy. It was the first time she had doubted their relationship.
It had gotten so bad that she had told him, it was either Billy or her. When he didn't give her an answer, she left.
Which leads us to where she is today. Just an hour before leaving, she had received a call from Chuck.
He had told her that he missed her, and wanted to see her. "There's a show in town tonight, and I'd like to see you there.
I have a front row ticket here, if you want to come." "Where do you want me to meet you?" "The door we came in last time.
I'll be waiting there for you." "Then, can we resolve this matter of you and Billy?" "Yes. The show will actually resolve
it tonight."
She turned up the volume on the radio, and sang along with the song. She had missed Chuck the few weeks
they weren't together. As tears began to cloud her vision, she pulled into the arena's parking lot, and into a spot near the
back entrance. True to his word, Chuck was standing near the back door. Jade walked calmly over to him. When she stopped in
front of him, he laid his hand on her cheek. "You look beautiful," he said before kissing her. She traced the lines under
his eyes. "You look like you haven't slept in weeks." He shrugged. "A couple hours here and there. Here's your ticket. We
can talk after the show."
She took her seat, and watched the matches. Then, they set up the ring for what looked to be a wedding.
An old man stepped into the ring, and took his position at the podium, and Stephanie McMahon came out as well. When the show
came back from a commercial break, Billy and Chuck were anounced. They went to the ring to a song professing love and commitment.
She looked up at Chuck, pain plain to see in her eyes. When he turned to her, she mouthed the words, "how could you?" He put
up his hand, in a motion for her to wait, and watch. The ceremony went along as a normal wedding, only Billy and Chuck became
increasingly nervous. When the old man was about to pronounce them... something, Billy interrupted him. "Hold on there. You're
not pronouncing us anything! I think I speak for both of us when I say we're not gay."
Some more words were exchanged, that Jade didn't hear. All she could think of was the fact that the
homosexual part of the tag team was over. Chuck looked at her and smiled just before he and Billy were attacked by two very
big men. Once the beating had ended, and Eric Bischoff (the old man), Rico, Rosie and Jamal had left the ring, she knew the
show had gone to commercial. She jumped over the gaurd rail, and into the ring with Chuck. "Oh, gawd... Baby, are you ok?"
"I don't think anything's broken. What are you doing in the ring?" "I was worried about you. I love you, Chuck." He smiled
at her. "I love you, too, Jade. Next time I stand at an altar, I hope you're the one standing beside me." "I will be." "Good.
I'd hate to be tied to Billy for the rest of my life." He dug in the pocket of his suit jacket, and pulled out a small black
box. "It's a good thing I didn't land on this." He opened the box. "Or, I would have ruined your ring."
