Crazy redone by Kidney Thieves
Crazy,
I'm crazy for feeling so lonely
I'm crazy,
Crazy for feeling so blue
It's New Year's Eve, and I'm at my friend, Jaime's party. She had gone all out. Champagne flukes were being handed out,
and refilled as the evening went on. People were everywhere, holding plates of snacks. Goofy party hats, and noise makers
could be seen everywhere.
I came early to help Jaime set up decorations, get the food on the table, and handle any last minute details. Normally,
Billy would have helped with that, but the day before, he said that his friend was in some trouble, and he was going to Florida
to help him out.
Florida... I had just been there weeks before.
Jaime had introduced me to one of Billy's friends, Andrew Martin. Andrew is a huge, handsome man, with a wonderful sense
of humor, and charm that could bring a woman to her knees.
He had asked me to spend Thanksgiving with him, and I accepted. We had a wonderful time trying to cook our own meal. The
only problem was neither of us knew how to cook a turkey. By the time we got through, we were both covered from head to toe
with flour, stuffing, and a few mystery globs.
Now, I'm standing with Matt and Jeff Hardy, and their girlfriends, Anne and Missy. I try to laugh at their constant teasing,
and their jokes, but my heart won't let me enjoy myself. If it wasn't for the constant murmur of voices throughout the house,
I'd think I was all alone.
I knew
You'd love me as long as you wanted
And some day
You'd leave me for somebody new
A week after Thanksgiving, Jaime went on the road with Billy. She had asked me to come along, to keep her company. She
also thought it would be a good surprise for Andrew. She knew how lonesome Billy became while he was on the road. She figured
Andrew would get the same way. Unfortunatly, it couldn't have been further from the truth.
When I arrived at the airport, Jaime and Billy were waiting to pick me up, and take me to the arena with them. When we
got there, I was directed to Andrew's dressing room. I was about to knock on the door, when I heard voices from inside. They
were coming closer to the door. Then, I heard moans, and the smack from lips seperating after a kiss. I heard a woman say,
"see you later?" "We'll see."
The door opened, and Trish Stratus stood in front of me. Andrew stood behind her, looking like a deer caught in the headlights.
"I knew there was a reason why I call you Trash." I looked up at Andrew. "And, you... If you didn't want to see me again,
you could have told me, before you found someone new." I turned, and walked away.
"Jade, wait!" I turned, and took a few steps toward him. "You know, Andrew, I don't want to hear it. Fuck you, and Merry
fucking Christmas." I walked down the hall with my head hung low, until I ran into a huge wall. I looked up, and it was Paul
Wight. "Sorry, Paul." I tried to side step him, but someone grabbed my elbow. "Jade, listen to me," Andrew said. I turned
around, and punched him in the eye, and he fell on his butt. I looked down at him. "Go tell Trash, because I don't want to
hear it!" I continued walking, only a little faster this time.
Paul looked down at him, and started laughing. "Fiesty one, isn't she?" "Hey, fuck you!" "Hey, I didn't make you cheat
on her." "I was cheating on Trish, when I went out with her," he growled. "Just stay out of it." He picked himself up, and
followed me.
I had just reached Billy's dressing room, when he caught up to me. "Jade, stop, please." "You've broken my heart. Isn't
that enough?" "Let me explain something to you. Please?" "What is it? And it had better be good." He tried to wipe a tear
from my cheek, but I pushed his hand away. "Don't fucking touch me. As pissed as I am right now, I'm liable to give you a
broken finger to go with your black eye."
"I was cheating on Trish when I went out with you. No one knew that we were dating, except the two of us." His lips curled
into a smile. "When Jaime introduced us, I knew you were someone special. I knew you would be worth leaving Trish for. You
proved it Thanksgiving day. I was going to break the news to her tonight."
"Well, you waited so damn long, you might as well keep her, 'cause I don't care anymore." He got on his knees, and grabbed
my hips. He looked up into my eyes. "You're the one I want, not her. You're the one I want to be with, want to live with,
and some day, want to marry." "Too bad you screwed up, huh?" I turned to the door, and knocked. Jaime immediatly opened the
door, as if she were standing there listening to what we said.
Cry
Why do I let myself worry?
Wondering
What in the world should I do now?
Back at the party, Chavo Guererro asked me to dance with him. Figuring I can't just hang around like a bump on a log, I
told him yes. He's a great dancer, and very funny. If I had to pick someone to go home with tonight, it would be him. We've
been friends for awhile, and he is pretty cute...
As I thought the last, a man came up behind me, kissed me on the cheek, and said "happy New Year!". I turned around, and
saw Billy. "Hey, bro! Happy New Year! Did you get through with your friend?" "Yeah, and I brought him home with me. I didn't
want him to sit home alone tonight. He's getting his bags now. He'll be in in a minute." "Great. The more, the merrier. Jaime
will want to see you. Last time I saw her, she was in the kitchen." "Thanks, Jade. Are you staying with us tonight?" "I dunno.
I might be. Why?" "Just wondering," he said with a wide grin. "I'll talk to you later. Good to see you, Chavo. Glad you could
make it."
He ran off toward the kitchen to see Jaime. Chavo and I went back to dancing. He looked up at the chandelier over our heads.
"Uh-oh." "What?" "Someone forgot to take down the mistletoe." I looked up, and sure enough, it hung right over us. He pressed
his lips gently to mine, and I put up no resistance. It must have been all of the champagne. He opened my lips with his tongue,
but still no resistance. When he ended the kiss, I looked up at the stairs. I saw a figure in black slowly walking up the
stairs. 'Nah, it couldn't be... It's probably Bryan Clark,' I thought to myself.
I continued dancing with him, and sharing small kisses, until someone tapped him on the shoulder, and asked, "may I cut
in?" He let go of me, and said, "sure." I look up at who it is. I wasn't imagineing things before. It's Andrew.
"Hello, Jade." "Hello, Andrew. If you don't mind me asking, what was the problem that Billy had to help you with?" "A broken
heart, and a woman that didn't want to see me anymore," he said with a grin. "What about Trash?" "I meant what I told you
at the arena. I broke up with her that night." "Oh."
"I saw you kissing Chavo. Did you come with him?" "No. I came alone. Look up." He did. Remembering my favorite movie, he
recited one of the lines from it. "You know, mistletoe can be deadly if you eat it." Playing along, I said the next part.
"But, a kiss can be even deadlier, if you mean it." He brought his lips down upon mine, and gave me a deep, passionate kiss.
He pulled me closer to him, his lips never leaving mine. When he ended the kiss, he rested his forehead against mine, staring
straight into my eyes. "I meant every second of that," he whispered.
Crazy
For thinking that my love could hold you
I'm crazy
For thinking that my love could hold you
Everyone around us started counting down the seconds until midnight. At the stroke of midnight, everyone yelled "HAPPY
NEW YEAR!" The radio started playing Old Lang Zine. While everyone else was finding someone to kiss for good luck in the new
year, Andrew pulled something out of his pocket, and went down on one knee.
"Help me start the new year off right. Tell me you'll be Mrs. Martin. Will you marry me?" "Oh, Andy! Yes!" He slides the
ring onto my finger, then stands, picking me up with him. I wrap my arms and legs around him, and we kiss like there's no
tomorrow. "I love you, Andrew!" "I love you, too, Jade."
"Well, somebody sure is happy," Jaime said from beside us. "What's going on," Anne and Missy ask from the other side. "I'M
GETTING MARRIED TO THE MOST WONDERFUL MAN IN THE WORLD," I shouted at the top of my lungs.
I'm crazy for trying
And, crazy for crying
And, I'm crazy for loving you
