Through the window
In the morning light, a planter sitting quietly on our handrail looks
like a bucket list without water
dried brown leaves hanging over the edge:
Sophie Dog wasn't here at home where she belongs to hide fearfully in the basement at the sound of firework's independence

Girlie Dog wandered through our house with acute nose to the floor pre ~ fireworks crackle
Until she shivered in bed during real ~ time ~ fireworks
Post ~ fireworks I will ask her about her bucket list and if making a movie would ease her grief about her friend disappeared

Sitting at our near the sand Cement table, Girlie Dog sits and looks out over the waves (not at the birds and not at the
people): I eat my hard boiled egg with tropical fruit and coffee and sweetened creamer and Girlie Dog hesitating questions
in her newly adopted way, 'did you remember me?' cheese dog food and milk from the across the street ABC Market are a picnic
for any Terrier Chihuahua able to allow snickers to roll: does Girlie need to go for a walk?
did you pick up Girlie's poop before someone steps in it? look at Girlie wag her tail! where is Girlie going to sleep
tonight?: down her triangular back into the Ground where she walks the path of solving unsolved child murders as if recovery
after a missing Father and numerous 911's is as easy as shaking excitedly when she recognizes someone she knows: Does Girlie
Dog brag about her first days in office as Zen Dog? No she never mentions it: if she could talk would she say: there isn't
any official title called Zen Dog you're just making it up! or would she say I trick people into talking to each other and
they usually end up carrying each other without even noticing that they are using their imaginations to solve unsolvable problems
