Monday + Sigh ... scratched phone and keychain ... damn it, I hate scratching my things *tears eyeballs out* Anyway, an update on my insane life for anyone remotely interested. Painted on Saturday. Quite good fun really. Then went for dinner. Best friend was there too as it was a mutual friend's wedding. Left half-way coz I the tortfeasor told a joke that made her choke on a fish bone. Went to the nearest hospital - private. Mistake. After the GP arranged to call the specialist and X ray guy, they told us they wanted to charge us a total $700 for the GP's costs and for a specialist to examine her. More fees could be incurred if they needed to remove the bone. Told them to buzz off. Must have sounded pissed off coz they even halfed the consultation fees for the GP. Trooped to public hospital which did everything at 10% of the price. We had a perversely good time as we were still horsing around. Bel is okay now, thank goodness. Will make note to ensure friends have swallowed food before telling jokes. Sunday was like all over the place. Brought folks out for lunch, shopping and high tea. Feel bad about ignoring them of late. Nearly killed sensei earlier during class for nagging - tired, short of sleep kit should not be disturbed at the risk she kills you. Scared the shit outta Lily (gomen), Jean (gomen) and Fiona (gomen) as well as other classmates during a 3 minute stare off. Managed to defuse situation and have now gained immunity from homework - telling people about your working hours tend to be effective. Should have done that earlier. To be fair, I'm being bratty, the teachers mean well by nagging at us to do our homework but for a girl who can get off work after midnight for days in a row, I can't spare the time. Anyhow, am tempted to learn violin - damn you Kaneshiro!!! Placed an order for moon child *tempts Ange* and now trying to convince self it is mad to buy new phone ~__~;; just because I feel like it - kit wa baka desu yo. Jap film fest last night was fun but I enjoyed Millinieum Actress more than the one where we had perverts at work. The show was just gross - like a dare to see how sick people could get. Objectively it might have been a brilliant work but I like to have fun at the shows I watch and found self wondering towards the last hour when show would end. Would have caught "Twilight Samurai" but for bad timing. Was rather zonked out yesterday due to fact by the time I left the hospital with Bel, I was more than willing to flop dead. Shock of shocks, Spitz sang the theme song for pervy show - Nooooo!!! Met pupil-san for breakfast and she's amused that the canteen people can remember me. Energy level rather low this morning and was "late for school" but still managed to freak out most people ^___^ and I'm going to be 300 years old soon. Youngsters these days are so hardworking and studious and quiet and non-genki: yeeeewwwww!!! I don't want to see what they're like at my age :P Pupil-san swears I managed to freak out a schoolmate of hers by suddenly collapsing on chairs in library - don't believe her. I did flop but no reasonable person should have been freaked out. Nice sleeping in the park and was awfully amused by Chinese students taking photos of each other like Jap tourists. Took a candid shot for them which they were rather pleased with. This reminds me, time to take my 2 precious cameras out for a shoot. Leaving when we bumped into friend who is now a tutor. Too much in a rushed to go kacoy LFK but will do so next time in NUS (Pupil-san was trying to slink away quietly while I was talking to Burton. Ha, I see them every year at Christmas party. Wait till then pupil-san). Ah well, back to work. Tonight must try to do a bit of homework before the severity of the week sinks in. In any case, must get my fondue party settled before end Oct. Must find fondue pot. ALSO need to pack house - tis a big freaking mess. ~ Reins, daijoubu. Loki 4 is out. But, apart from headlines about terrifyingly large awards of punitive damages that are often reduced on appeal, hard facts to support these claims have been notably rare—until now. On September 23rd the Manhattan Institute, a think-tank, published “Trial Lawyers Inc”, a study of America's civil litigation business written, wryly, in the style of a company annual report. Settlements for tort litigation now exceed $200 billion annually in America. At 2% of GDP, this is far more than in other rich countries, says James Copeland of the Manhattan Institute's Centre for Legal Policy. Of this, Trial Lawyers Inc, America's law firms, take a juicy $40 billion. Their revenue growth has been a remarkable 9% a year over the past three decades, more than the compound growth of the Dow Jones industrial average. Ahhhh ... my sanctuary ... my sanctuary ... why in the world would people come into a Jap joint for bread other than weirdoes like me ... YIKES!!! Gotta go, BC just buzzed me to say he's downstairs. But drinks yesterday were good and learning hold to pack books from Oniichan was quite niffty (going to move to bishan with him next week ... will miss MY and staff at Clementi). Got a wedding to attend tonite, books to pack, work to do and Jap homework to catch up on, ontop of service tomorrow and movies in the evening ... AHHHHH!!!! *runs off screaming* TOO MUCH THINGS TO DO!!! And must call JAL to scout out prices for tickets ^___^ PS: Em, sorry but I left my phone at home yesterday (sorry to Bel to who was trying to reach me). Thursday + Horribly pissed off. Nothing serious but I sure could do with some guidance from the older and wiser ones out there. I'm an idiot and a bum, that much I give. But the stubborn bitch that I am reminds me to hang on and grit my teeth. Plus had to put up with flitty brit - sigh ... On a more blah front, was extremely bitchy today, must be something to do with the fact the rain made me want to sleep in the whole day, something I could not do >_<;; Met minor minor bane of life - ignore, ignore ... I don't care what she says (although up to today, I can't figure out what a person whom you don't know could bitch about you). Met Low last nite by coincidence ... cool (the man to ask about land law since he's teaching it in law school). Chris is flying off tomorrow *sniff* and Deeps next week *sniff, sniff* Painting EK's house on Sat *puts on newspaper hat and picks up brush* Am rambling ... need to finish work. Boy oh boy, oniichan moving to Bishan branch. Promised him I'll follow him there ~ ~;; thankfully Singapore is a small place but it would be nice if they stopped moving him around really. I guess they're moving him to push up sales but it's time people realise that if you move him from branch A to B, the customers follow so effectively while B gains sales volume, it's at the expense of A. Ah well, time to check the bus guide and see what bus goes from Bishan to home. Want to go to Japan. Can't figure out the best itinerary to build out - and it is true, everything is rather expensive >_<;; *looks at budget and runs back to the drawing board* +
Sunday + Extremely tired. Attended a wedding last night ... lots of people to banter with and watching my friend's 1 year old son had been running around after the tyke the whole night ... and Em's going to laugh but in the process I think that damn shawl came off ~___~;; Fine I'm fat, I'll go on a diet. Nice seeing J and X married. They're dear people and I'm happy for them. It's fun being with my friends but they're growing up too fast for me - or am I the one refusing to grow up *shrugs*? Hope D does well in London, he's going to be posted there for 2 years - will miss him. C's going off there too ... sigh ... fortunately some friends are coming back so it won't be so bad. Must go home and pack clothes and all ... messy messy messy and I've got a long dinner at EK's house tonight. Nice to see SC again, he's been around the Americas and Europe since April. Must remember to pass him my guide books to Australia. Friday was quite a blast. Hearing the experts tell stories of their experience working in gold mines in South Africa was a blast. Very interesting evening but when Ben kissed me goodnite, I nearly went ballistic ... Now to be fair to him, he's drop dead gorgeous and most girls would be happy but ... "Ugh ... you didn't wipe your mouth after that mud pie ... if I get pimples, I'm going to kill you!!!" ~ Besides, people in real life know how touch phobic I am ... so to make up for the insane fear of zits, I needed retail therapy ... lots of it *poor wallet* Pupil-san, thanks for going shopping with me yesterday and joining my crazy folks for tea. Friday + Go away if you don’t want to watch Kit whine unreasonably and for no good reason: It is ridiculous how awfully this month has turned out in general. Ah well, 12 days or so to go. Hopefully I ride out the glunk by the end of this month and survive in one nice piece until the end of the year ~___~;; … For the list, got birthdates mixed up, lost phone and new unscratchable phone got mysteriously scratched during road trip to KL (if you followed this blog, you know how ballistic and anal I get over scratching inanimate objects). Circles totally acting whacked up, mail getting lost with one circle whose acquaintance has only been just made and with whom I’m keen to remain friendly with, amongst others. I think it’s almost like I’m in “trouble” again. Things on the war front look bleak again. Feet getting testy, problems for a dear aunt I adore, this tummy upset and the fact it is dragging longer than I like and the credit card bill is too high etc.etc. … feel quite lousy and unloved and feel like asking too much favors from friends lately … generally not happy camper. Generally wondering if I should go into hiding / hibernation until the world ends :P I need someone to come over, mother me and tell me everything is going to be alright. Strangely, have an urge to sell all my manga and doujinshi, repent my evil evil ways and become a normal boring human being for the rest of my life. Or at the very least, evaluate ... I'm getting too old for this madness called life. I swear at this point, I'll be happy to die at the ripe old age of 31. +

Saturday + I hate it when I get cranky. I should have gone pub-crawling, I think I would have drank and smoked less. Will go buy some from KL when I go there next week. Friday + Rants (you can tell this has been an awful week ... when I skip going /there/ everything in my life goes wrong and guess what, it probably serves me right): I can't claim to be a saint and am probably far from it but nothing riles me up as much as racism and xenophobia. No, I know it exists and trust me I'll be less riled up once I cool down (I tend to like to scream here so I don't in real life) but racist people and people who turn up their noses at people who are not their countrymen are not on my "nice" list. It's perfectly normal to get annoyed if people are obnoxious and refuse to take steps to adapt to suit their host country but to consider all persons of that race/type or all non-nationals or all people with a different skin color or racial group as inferiors is something that cheeses me off. Actually I'm pissed because some sellers are giving me shit. I guess once you deal with more sellers you're bound to find the stinker or two but ... I pay you damn it so why should I take shit from you? Besides, I don't want to be too presumptious but I'm a surfacely nice person i.e. I usually don't appear evil until you know me well ^___~ I shouldn't dwell on this, there are nice sellers and I've got a life beyond this :P but it's not funny. I'm not the kind to really be nice when people whack me. But it might be for the better strangely - for all you know, this could be a good chance to drib back to buying manga instead of doujinshi. Fell a little in love with dj since Feb and it takes up less space but the recently overdose of hentai in DJ and 2 bouts of receiving seller's shit has me deciding to go on strike. I love manga more and I can live without DJ - at one point it was quite fun but I could use the money on manga instead really ~__~;; Strangely, I find myself less and less chirpy this week. Must be the serious lack of sleep and the fact something's cooking in the air and boy does it smells bad >_<;; call it my wacky ESP ability (think it's my credit card bill for this month). Received a bizzare mail from a seller who has threatened to stop selling because I did not write my Jap contact along with the $ sent to her -__-'' and so she says it's not right for me to rush her and insist she carry out an international transaction when she is only keen on carrying out domestic transactions. For one honey, I only wrote to ensure you got the $. I wasn't even complaining about the fact you've failed to reply promptly. For another, your email to me confirming my order said that you assume the postage arrangements remain the same, i.e. you send to my Jap friend. I reply yes and I think I again affixed the address of my contact in Japan ... how reasonable can it be for you to say I'm forcing you to send the book to me in Singapore in these circumstances merely because when I sent the money to you I didn't again write down by Jap contact's address? Fishballs girl, if you're not sure, why didn't you confirm? I know Japanese courtesy dictates that one tries to avoid rejecting requests as much as possible but this is NOT the point is it? ~___~;; sigh ... I am not a mind reader people ... and if you don't want to deal, say it outright, I have no problems. There are circles who ignore emails but at least there is no expectation on my part that all is well. I hate to say this, if anyone thinks sacarsm and mean-ness are the best ways to frighten me off, trust me I'm a bigger bitch than you can ever imagine. And since she's on my blog, let me assure you that I won't lose to Integra in nastiness and snarkiness ... I like to pretend to be good but I'm not kidding when I assure you that anyone who riles me will regret it ya. Sounds strange but yes, I'm going to blacklist circles already. Heard from Serene some circles actually look down on Chinese people in which case trust me, you're going to get some "nice" words from a very Chinese and very loud person. Monday + Ahem, let me announce this especially for all you people who come to this blog looking for HELLSING DOUJINSHI, yes Hellsing doujinshi seekers ... If anyone wishes to buy Hellsing doujinshi from Japan, please drop me an email with the circle's name and URL. If the DJ is from the circles I know, I should be able to get the books subject to availability - note sometimes circles don't put up the sold out notice until it's too late so don't blame me. Once I've contacted the circle to make enquiries, THOU SHALL NOT cancel on me or lose the deposit and face boycott for the rest of your miserable little Hellsing addicted days. Interested people can drop a line to kit_mangaisgreat@yahoo.com. In this regard, note I only work if paid, i.e. you have to pay a deposit of US$10 once I place the order with the circle and must make payment of remaining sums before I send you the book (if you fail to pay up the remaining and outstanding monies within 1 week after notification, the deposit and the book become mine). On the other hand, if there is remaining monies, rest assured I will refund the remainder in cash with the book. Charges will be for buying the doujinshi (including the costs I expend in changing my local money to yen and sending payment to Japan), postage of doujinshi from Japan to Singapore and from Singapore to wherever you are (this depends on the weight of the doujinshi yah), US$2 for commissioning costs for me (I need to write to them and exert my sad corpse down to the post office yah yah ... friends may be exempted). Considering how much one pays on ebay, this is usually a better deal most of the time - unless the DJ is dirt cheap yah. The thingee is simple no? You write to me and I'll tell you what to do ... although I reserve the right to say no to your request for purchase if the doujinshi offends me yah. I will consider other genre if asked but no promises coz Hellsing Jap circles to date are usually the most friendly to non Japs ... I can't help you if you want doujinshi from a Hellsing circle or other circle which has and/or is the type which ignores orders from non-Japanese people ... PS: And yes in case you're wondering, I'm responsible for the sudden popping up of no selling to overseas notices on most Hellsing DJ sites :P |

Ahem, let me announce this especially for all you people who come to this blog looking for HELLSING DOUJINSHI, yes Hellsing doujinshi seekers ... If anyone wishes to buy Hellsing doujinshi from Japan, please drop me an email with the circle's name and URL. If the DJ is from the circles I know, I should be able to get the books subject to availability - note sometimes circles don't put up the sold out notice until it's too late so don't blame me.
Once I've contacted the circle to make enquiries on the book, THOU SHALL NOT cancel on me or lose the deposit and face boycott for the rest of your miserable little Hellsing addicted days. Interested people can drop a line to kit_mangaisgreat@yahoo.com. Subject title should be – Interest in Hellsing DJ. In this regard, note I only work if paid, i.e. you have to pay a deposit of US$10 once I place the order with the circle. Payment of remaining sums due must be made before I send you the book (if you fail to pay up the remaining and outstanding monies within 1 week after notification of the monies you owe me, I will forfeit your deposit and the book is still mine). On the other hand, if there is remaining monies, rest assured I will refund the remainder in cash with the book. Charges will be for buying the doujinshi (including the costs I expend in changing my local money to yen and sending payment to Japan), postage of doujinshi from Japan to Singapore and from Singapore to wherever you are (this depends on the weight of the doujinshi yah), US$2 for commissioning costs for me (it’s peanuts for the fact I need to write to them and exert my sad corpse down to the post office yah yah ... friends may be exempted so try impressing me). In this regard, risk of loss lies on purchaser and I will not be responsible if the doujinshi gets confiscated by your customs or sinks to the bottom of the great ocean during delivery. Certain doujinshi will cost you US$10+ more because those circles don't deliver out of Japan even for one as pesky as me and thus that is the commission and postage charges I have to pay someone in Japan to handle the delivery for me. Considering how much one pays on ebay, this is usually a better deal most of the time - unless the DJ is dirt cheap yah. The thingee is simple no? You write to me and I'll tell you what to do ... although I reserve the right to say no to your request for purchase if the doujinshi offends me yah. I will consider other genre if asked but no promises coz Hellsing Jap circles to date are usually the most friendly to non Japs or at least to me ... this means I can't help you if you want doujinshi from a Hellsing circle or other circle which has and/or is the type which ignores orders from non-Japanese people ... PS: And yes in case you're wondering, I'm responsible for the sudden popping up of no selling to overseas notices on most Hellsing DJ sites :P |
