Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday dear Joshy
Happy Birthday to you!
Josh had a very big day for his birthday. He woke up at 7am and had a bottle. Then we took him into the lounge
room where we had set up his birthday present, which was a big blow up boat with balls in it. He loved it, and I showed
him how to put the balls in the hoop, and he copied me straight away. He's a very clever boy!
We also had some more presents for Josh that were wrapped up, and with a bit of help he had them unwrapped. There
was an xylophone and bath toys and a big poster of Elmo.
Josh had a party in the afternoon with all his friends and family invited. There were a lot of people there (about
30 people including 9 babies). We had an Elmo theme with red balloons and a big Elmo cake with lots of red icing!
It is hard to believe that a year has gone by already. I can't even imagine life without Josh in it anymore.
He has grown so much, and learnt so much in the past year. He looks so peaceful when he is sleeping that I could just
stare at him all night. He cracks us up with his cheeky laugh and the funny things that he does. He has those
gorgeous blue eyes, and his perfect skin. He has those little curls that just won't comb down (no matter how hard I
try!). We looked at him in his cot last night and couldn't believe how big he has got. He was all stretched out
and it looked like it wouldn't be long before he is in a big bed.
Some of Josh's very cute things that he does lately:
- When I get him up in the morning, if he has his dummy in his mouth I put my hand out and say "drop the dummy" and he spits
it into my hand.
- When I make kissing noises he gives me a big kiss
- On my first day back at work after the holidays, as soon as I put my work jacket on he started waving goodbye to me
- He dives head first into his ball pit boat
- When we first put his Elmo DVD on and he saw Elmo on tv for the first time, he started cracking up laughing.
- He has started dancing to music when he likes it.
