I'm a Big Brother!

The biggest thing that happened to Josh this month was his first introduction to his little brother Sam.

Josh was very clever and correctly guessed that we were having a boy, and that he would be born on the 30th September.  I think we have a very gifted child there!  Josh was very gentle and gave Sam a kiss on the head.  He even got to have a little cuddle.

We had to explain to Josh that Sam drinks milk from my boobies, and that was his dinner.  Josh was facinated by this, but then he decided that he wanted milk too, so Kel had to quickly go and find a drink machine that had milk!!!

Josh has been very good with Sam (or San as he used to call him).  He helps me by getting the nappies, or my pillow when I am going to feed him.  He is very interested when I feed him, or change his nappy, and he loves to smother him in kisses.

One really irritating thing that he has started doing is imitating Sam's cry.

But other than that he has been pretty good.

The Truck Yard

Josh had his first visit at Great Grandpa Max's Truck Yard!  Of course he loved all the trucks, tractors, boats, sheep and train tracks!  The train tracks were really just iron girders, but don't tell Josh that!  He got to try his hand at herding sheep (but the sheep didn't really like Josh).

Chippies

Josh and Riley were playing with the car garage and matchbox cars one day when I noticed what they were actually saying when they were playing...  They would drive the car up to the garage window (where you are supposed to fill up the car with petrol) and they were saying 'chippies please' and then driving off.  They kept doing this for ages!  Can you tell who has been through the Maccas drive thru a lot lately?

The other night I even heard Josh having a play argument saying 'no, mine chippies'.  I don't know who he was arguing with though, he was playing by himself!

A Day at the Trains
One day Aunty Kel and Nark (Mark) took Josh to the train museum near Williamstown.  Josh got to climb into about 70 trains (well maybe not all of them!) and look at model trains and ride in a minature train.  I think it is fair to say that he had a great day!

Roos
Just before Sam was born we took Josh for a trip to the Ballarat Wildlife park.  They had hundreds of kangaroos there which you are allowed to feed.  Some of the kangaroos even had babies in their pouches.  Josh loved feeding the roos, and we saw some snakes, alligators and crocodiles too!
