Abraham Coy b.1820 and Catherine Zimmerman Coy b.1831 Owned and ran a mercatile business in Zimmerman,right outside of Beavercreek Twp.1847 their business became the Post office,and Abraham was the 1st Post Master in the area.1855 they sold their business and bought 2 farms again.He was noted as a very prominent farmer and sucessful business owner.Abraham was the 7th child in his family. The photo to the right is of his older brother Aaron (3rd)child and family decendant of Jacob b.1739 He was the son of Adam b.1780 & Catherine Martin Coy b.1784 She the daughter of Jacob Zimmereman & Mary Shoup ,Mary's parents were Solomon Shoup and Catherine Puterbaugh. Her grandfather was Dr.George Zimmerman of Beavercreek.He was the local doctot that served the whole community of Greene County. The area of Zimmerman was named after her family.

(Photo above) F-Aaron,Diana(Funderburg)Daniel 2nd-Abraham,Carrie,Ira,Irven (Ira and Irven were twins). My kindred kin,Ann Smith had contacted me to fill in more details for me. Aaron Coy (b.abt.1836) was the son of Nicholas Coy b.1811 and his mother was Charoltte Shoup b.1819.(Charlotte -daughter of Moses Shoup & Elizabeth Miller).Nicholas was the son of Adam Coy b.1780 and Catherine Martin b.1784. Adam was the 3rd child of Jacob Coy b.1739 and Susannah b.1754 Aaron b. abt.1847 and wife Diana Funderburg Coy b.1848)had 5 children in the Dayton area.I believe the children were born abt.1870-1897.I am waiting for detialed information from Ann to update this piece.Her line continues from the son Irven b.abt.1897,he has son Howard,and then daughter Ann(my new found kin). She sent me a delightful email telling me of the handmade wood family items that she has in her posession that belonged to Irven Coy in the above photo.
