The Simple Feast will be performed at every esbat, or Sabbat in one form, or another. It follows the closing of the Circle. The Simple Feast The Ritual: (After Clearing the Circle)High Priestess: Holds the chalice of wine (Or beverage of Choice) up to the sky in both hands and says: O'Gracious Goddess of abundance, bless this wine, (juice etc..) and infuse it with your love. In your names Mother Goddess and Father God, I bless this wine. (Note: If the "Great Rite" was performed prior, then the blessing of the wine is not necessary.)High Priestess: Pours a libation on the ground (if outside) in the libation disk if indoors, then takes a drink and passes it to the High Priest, who drinks and passes it on to the next one and so on..High Priest: Holds the plate of cakes up and says:O'Great God of the harvest, bless these cakes and infuse them with your love. In your names Mother Goddess and Father God, I bless these cakes. Now he takes the first cake and breaks it apart and tosses it on the ground if outdoors or in the libation dish if inside. Then he takes one cake for himself and passes the platter to the High Priestess, who takes one and passes the platter on to the next person....This ends the "Simple Feast" BACK
