No matter how abhorant the name sounds, this activity is actually harmless and non-offensive. In our area a group of friends get together in ceremonial garb or in street clothes and we go in search of graveyards which are out of the way, very old, unusual in some way or ones which hold our loved ones who have crossed over. We go at night during a waning moon to commune with those who have crossed, or to leave behind our feelings of loss at our loved ones not being with us any longer, or to do a spell to burying negativity, which rids us of the negativity we currently have in our incarnation. We symbolicly bury it every so often as the need arises and leave feeling renewed. As we tour the graves, we look for points of interest. A grave that calls out to someone in our party, a sudden surprise of dates Such as with David and Nicola, in one of our gravestomps. They were engaged to be married, and as they wandered they discovered the graves of a betrothed couple, who shared David and Nicola's birthdates, but not birth years. It seems the couple were buried side by side since they would never be wed in that incarnation together. We believe that we learn from these experiences, something that (if we pay attention) can help us in the current point of our incarnation. If the laws in your area permit it, try to organize a gravestomp to an area which has significance to your group. Just remember, contrary to the name of the function, you should always have the utmost respect for the cemetary and its inhabitants. Behave in a respectful manner, if not for the deceased's benefit, then for the sake of their loved ones, and for the sake of your own honor.
