Standing in an open area (preferrably not a grave for reasons of respect, but an open plot or walking area) focus all the negativity in your life into the small item as you hold in cupped in your hands. When you have finished, kneel in the dirt where you stood and draw a circle with the index finger of your strong hand. While doing so state that this circle represents your past. DO NOT STEP OUT OF THE CIRCLE, MERELY LEAN OUT, and draw a circle which meets the circle of past but doesn't share any actual space with it. As you are doing so state that this circle represents your future.

When you have finished, dig a small hole in the circle of past and bury the item which should be brimming with all the negativity from your life. As you bury the item in the past speak these words:

A bright new future comes my way.
Negativity in the past will stay.

When you have finished burying the item step into the future, with no negativity, that you have created for yourself. Turn around and without leaving THIS circle erase the circle of your past, with your sending hand, while speaking these words:

Now only good is drawn to me.
As I will so mote it be.

You have now rid yourself of all the negativity in your life. If you allow yourself to collect negativity, as some do, you will soon be a pauper with no personal items at all. This is an effective spell only if done properly. If the item has no meaning for you, that is the exact result of the spell... none! Do not go back and reclaim the item as you will just be reclaiming all your previous negativity.

After a new person claims the item upon finding it (don't worry, they do not collect the negativity with the item) they will consider it a boon and thus positive energy returns your way.
