My husband, Azrael Spiritwolf, was always reading and as such found the darndest information in his books. He was reading one about dousing and divining and discovered a way to use a pendulum as a dousing rod.
As a test, he had been looking for some pictures of my familiar. Sinatra was my only child for 10 years so it shouldn't have been difficult to find pictures, but we had just moved into a new place and nothing was where it should be yet, so he decided to try to douse with the pendulum.
First he drew a picture of the house and put in only major areas so he could narrow the search. He discovered that the pictures were in the front area. Okay, so he redrew the front area of living room and dining and kitchen areas. Then tried again, he narrowed it further to the living room. After redrawing the living room in detail, it pointed out the area of our altar table, which had storage space under the top. He looked for them and couldn't find the pictures.
By the time I got home from the shop, he was depressed that the experiment hadn't worked. I asked what he had found and he told me about several items, one of which was my 35mm camera. Needless to say, the pictures when developed from the film inside, had several of the "Sinat-kitty" in prime form. He had been bathing with me and was in his "wet-rat" look.
A few months later we found the rest of the kitty pix. They were in the driveway... in the motorhome... not the house. Which explained the lack of success he had experienced in finding the mother lode of pictures.
