1/2 c sugar
2 tbsp butter
1/2 c milk
1 c flour
1 egg
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp cocoa
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and stir in milk. Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Mix until smooth.
Spread in large greased round casserole dish.
TOPPING: In a small bowl mix well:
1/2 c sugar
3/4 c lightly packed brown sugar
1/3 c cocoa
Sprinkle over batter. Pour 2 1/2 c BOILING water over top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
Top each serving with vanilla ice-cream or whipped topping.
