2 c. cooked chicken or turkey, diced
2 tbsp cooking oil
3 tbsp soya sauce
1 oxo chicken cube
1 c boiling water
1 c chopped cabbage
1 large onion chopped
2 tbsp corn starch
1/4 c cold water
1-10 oz can water chestnuts, sliced
1-20 oz can bean sprouts
1-10 oz can mushrooms.
salt and pepper
Brown chicken in hot oil. Dissolve oxo chicken cube in boiling water; add soya sauce. Stir in chicken. Cabbage and onion.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Blend corn starch with cold water; stir into chicken mixture. Add drained water chestnuts,
bean sprouts and mushrooms. Stir well. Season to taste. Serve with chow mein noodles. Serves 8.
