Layer #1
6 med size potatoes, peeled and boiled soft.(approx. 2 &1/2 cups mashed)
MASH AND ADD
1/4 c. becel butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. sugar (or splenda)
1/4 c. skim milk
Mix well together and place on bottom of deep casserole.
Layer #2
Make dressing:
5-6 slices white bread (or whole wheat) crumbled small
Mix in 1 tsp. crushed savory
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. onion powder
Melt 2 tbsp. becel butter
Pour over dressing and mix in with hands.
Spread over top of mashed potato in casserole.
Layer #3
Place 3-4 fish fillets over top of dressing single layer (I used cod)
Pour white sauce over top.
Make white sauce as follows:
Melt 1/2 c. becel butter in saucepan on med heat.
Add 2 tbsp. flour and whisk until mixed together.
Pour in 1 c. skim milk gradually and whisk all the while.
When thickened add:
Add 1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar (or splenda)
If becomes too thick add a few tsp. water to thin.
Pour over top of fish.
BAKE in 400 degree F. oven uncovered for 30 mins.
Layer #4
Grate 1/2 c. cheese and sprinkle over top and place back in oven for 8-10 mins. for cheese to melt.
Let cool out of oven for few mins. before serving for cheese to set.
